Nikon D3000 Digital SLR, $490

Nikon D3000We gave Nikon's D3000 four out of five stars when we reviewed it at its launch last year. The digital SLR camera is lightweight but sturdy, and the images it produces are sharp, with natural-looking colors. The D3000 has recently been superceded by the D3100, which is also a great entry-level DSLR but is retailing for $600-$700 (see "Best DSLR Cameras for Beginners" for more on the new model). If you want to save some money and don't mind having last year's model, then head over to Amazon, where you'll pay $490 for the Nikon D3000--and shipping is free.

Dell Inspiron 14R Intel Core i3 Laptop, $500

Inspiron 14RDell's Inspiron 14R, a basic all-purpose laptop, did well in PCWorld tests, earning a 3.5-star review. According to our reviewer, "It's the right 'does everything well enough' laptop at the right sub-$800 price." Dell usually sells the Intel Core i3 configuration of its Inspiron 14R for $550. However, you can use coupon code P0RNFQ0HR?C8VX to take $50 off the price, and coupon code HLSKSR06S9ZG0F to get free shipping.

T-Mobile G2X Android Phone, $99 With Free Activation

T-Mobile G2XThe G2X looks like a basic smartphone, with its black, dark gray and silver color scheme. "But don't let its generic appearance fool you," says our reviewer, "this phone has an incredibly high-quality feel." When we reviewed the T-Mobile G2X about a month ago, we gave it 4.5 stars (out of 5) for its 8-megapixel camera and superfast processing. At that time the smartphone sold for $200. For a limited time, WireFly is selling the T-Mobile G2X for only $100, with a 2-year T-Mobile contract, and pay no activation fee.
